Here is a sketch of a big eyed maiden.  She seems very happy and has a bit of a 60s flower child look.  I think she is most likely a fairy angel, although she could also be a mermaid or a goddess.  I'm unsure if I'll paint her or not, but I did enjoy sketching her.

Here is a sketch of a big eyed gothic maiden.  She has a short pixie cut with streaks in it and a determined attitude.  I think she is most likely an elf fairy, although she could also be a mermaid or a goddess.  I'm unsure if I'll paint her or not, but I did enjoy sketching her.

WIP Lamb Animal Art Original Painting Work in Progress + July Sketches, Sketch 29, Angel...

In this original acrylic work in progress WIP painting of a lamb, I've been working on the background.  It has been a while since I've posted a progress view of this little sheep.  I need to work a bit more on the background, especially below the lamb, so that he does not look like he is hovering.  After that he needs a little more shading, I am hoping to have him finished for Tuesday...

I'm debating between "Lost Sheep" and "Found Sheep" for the title, to tie in with a painting I did of Little Bo Peep a while back.  Any opinions?

WIP Angel Fairy Art Original Painting Work in Progress + July Sketches, Sketch 28, Rose...

In this original acrylic work in progress WIP big eye maiden painting I've painted her eyes and I've done a few layers on her face.  I still have more layers to go with more shading before I move on to her eyebrows, eyelashes, and lips; but I'm liking the direction she is going in.  This angel fairy is a little 4"x4" acrylic painting.

Here is a sketch of a rose.  My grandmother had a deep love of roses and I think she passed that on to me.  Her garden was full of amazing flowers and I think she would have loved this rosebud.  I'm unsure if I'll paint it or not, but I did enjoy sketching it.

I took this photograph of these flowers at Descanso Gardens.  I'm not sure what kind of flower they are, but I loved that they seemed to have flowers within flowers.  I hope that you will enjoy this photo!

This week my featured painting is "Summer Sun". The original sunflowers painting is available for purchase on my website as are art prints and LE ACEO prints!  The original has a little texture.  Usually blues, purples, and blacks are my favorite colors, but I find flowers of every hue lovely.  In the summer, I love catching sight of their beauty.  It was painted with oil paints.  The art has a soft realist impressionist feel.

In this original acrylic work in progress WIP big eye maiden painting I've transferred the sketch and painted in the blue blue sky.  Her  wings are inspired by hummingbird wings and they'll be the next part of her that I'll paint.  This angel fairy is a little 4"x4" acrylic painting. 

I like to work on more than one painting sometimes because I can alternate between them, but sometimes it's just the one that I'm feeling the most that I work on for a while...
