Fairy Painting & A Little Progress on my Bird of Paradise Painting...

I've listed Sienna as an original here and as a print here on ebay.  The original is a 9"x12" acrylic fairy painting I started quite some time ago.  I made an adjustment to one of her eyes and now I consider her to be finished.  The original is a bit more textured than most of my more current pieces.  She also has a bit more of a brushy quality in terms of technique.  She's one of my favorites of my pieces.

I've been working on my bird of paradise painting and made a little bit of progress.  This is where I currently am with it.

Also, I'm joining in this week with Paint Party Friday.  To see more participants, please visit:

  4. Hi Lisa: These are absolutely stunning! You are a beautifully creative and gentlely spirited artist from my minds eye. Thanks for your comment last week on my "diet". Your comment on the gym, and coming home and eating choc. was hilarious. I've made headway thanks to all your support...no caffeine and no choc. and only 1 moment of sugar and a muffin each day. Believe me...this is headway!!! One day at a time right. I looked through your blog. Your art is so varied and lovely. There are so many beautiful styles, photos and I love that there are showings of others; you are very generous to do that. The growing painting is cool...like the rising phoenix. Can't wait to see it's growth and where it goes. But I must say Lisa (and your name is gorgeous) it is a lovely piece all on its own now and looks 100% complete and serene and free! Hope to see you again. I missed this friday :( Kisses, Samara

  11. Thanks so very much on both the fairy and the bird of paradise.

Rev. Samara, thank you! On Mondays when I am able to, I share things that inspire me, and that is often other artists. Usually it's art from museums, but sometimes it's art by less known artists. I love art so much!
