Or at least alike in proliferation tendencies... On Wednesdays, when I get a chance, I like to share a photo that I've taken. This photograph was taken in Montrose, CA. Initially there was one coffee shop on that street, The Coffee Bean. Now there is a Starbucks directly across the street. I like sweet coffee drinks as much as the next person, probably more, and I like both Starbucks and The Coffee Bean; I'm just a bit baffled as to why there needs to be two coffee shops in such proximity, especially when there's another Starbucks not even a mile away by the movie theater...

Thanks for visiting my blog! My little town also has two coffee shops (one being a Starbucks) within a quarter mile of each other. There's a street between them basically. Each one has its regulars too...no one really goes to both. To each his own I suppose!
ReplyDeleteI don't know, especially when I don't drink coffee! LOL! I guess everyone has their favorites ;o)
ReplyDeleteThat is kind of weird that they would have so many coffee shops in one place.

Hmm...that is baffling for sure. I see that a lot, though. I have the opposite problem...My favorite coffee house closed down recently so now I don't even have one near my home!
ReplyDeleteJeri and Kathy, I think it was a bit of a mini rant on my part... I don't want the one that was there first to go out of business, but if there's enough traffic for both, I'll probably let my mini rant go...
ReplyDeleteNo coffee Stacy? My goodness gracious! Kidding, I really didn't drink coffee until I bought them from coffee shops, my fondness for coffee drinks has more to do with the sweet chocolate or caramel (etc.) that gets added to them then the coffee itself...
Janice, I'm sorry to hear that they shut down your favorite coffee shop :(
