Jealousy, a Study of a Drawing by an Unknown to Me Master Artist....
This is a study of a master drawing I did at the Getty. I remember that the title was "Jealousy," but while I wrote down the name of the artist, I did so in another sketchbook, which I have mislaid... I tried google's reverse image search, but didn't come up with the name, so for now it is a master study sketch by an unknown to me artist... I found the hands really compelling in the original.

Thanks for visiting! I'm unable to comment on google+ sites that don't have the blog links, but I do visit. For some reason, even though I've said no to word verification, it still shows here. If you're logged in to Google or OpenID, you should still be able to post by clicking enter without filling in the word verification. I'm sorry about the glitch...
I love the pose in this composition. It's so intriguing and your rendering is fantastic. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteVery nice!
ReplyDeleteWOWOW! I am so impressed - hands are so hard and the angle you were able to recreate here - just wonderful. Love the sense of movement as well, xo
ReplyDeletewonderful job on this piece of 'unknown' inspiration!
ReplyDeleteSo much feeling in this! Very powerful!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! I feel like such a twit for putting down the name of the original artist somewhere else. I usually don't sketch in public, but I really felt so compelled to take it home with me and there were no photographs allowed...
