Work in Progress Mermaid Painting + 29 Faces 13...

Here is a bit of progress on the mermaid painting "Looking In" that I am working on.  Although I'm not done with her face yet, I am thinking about the color of her hair.  I had intended to give her some blue streaks, but I'm getting the feeling she wants her hair to be dark brown.

Here is a sketch of a girl with a red tailed hawk perched on her shoulder.  She is my 13th face for the 29 faces challenge.  The challenge is to share 29 faces in the month of September.

I'm joining in this week with Paint Party Friday.  To see more participants, please visit:

  6. Lisa, the mermaid painting is coming along nicely and the girl and the hawk is lovely.

We actually saw a hawk on a recent walk, was so exciting but it flew away before we could get a picture.

    Happy weekend to you :)

  8. Thanks very much! I have some other paintings I'm currently in progress with, but perhaps the girl with the hawk can join in my file of "would like to paint" ideas... :)
