Here is a work in progress view of my mermaid with clownfish painting and a small clownfish painting that I've started. I'm trying to complete at least one small painting a week. I'm very inspired by the people painting 30 paintings in 30 days, but I'm not nearly fast enough at this point, so I'm trying for one a week. Although she looks very similar to the last time I posted her, I've finessed the mermaids skin tones a bit. I have a little more do to on her skin before I move on to her eyebrows, eyelashes, and lips. Of course she also needs her hair done, but it may be a little while until I get there...
In this photo you can see my easel crammed with paints in the holding area, I have to put some of those back in their drawer soon!
I'm joining in this week with Paint Party Friday. To see more participants, please visit:

Here is a sketch of a yellow orchid. It is a potential option for next week's small painting.
WIPs coming along nicely! Happy PPF!

ReplyDeleteLisa, don't worry about painting fast! Paint what is good for you! I do have to say, to challenge yourself to paint 30 paintings in 30 days is a lot! Your Mermaid is looking stunning!!! I love her eyes and the skin tone! The Orchid sketch is coming along beautifully ;o) Big Hugs ;o)

looks like you have a lot of work already planned out ! that's great - helps for the days that you can't 'think' of what you would like to paint. Great series. Happy PPF.
