A Photograph of Some Roses From Huntington Gardens & a Google+ Question...

I took this photograph outside of Huntington Gardens.  They have these beautiful rose bushes lining the path to the entrance to the gardens.  Yesterday I went to their plant sale in search of some more native California plants that will hopefully attract more hummingbirds and butterflies to our garden.  We bought a few plants, I hope they make it (I'm not much of a gardener).

I've been wondering about Google+, what are your thoughts on it?  I also have a facebook page that is almost identical to my blog, but it gets more traffic.  I've heard facebook is planning on making it so that if you want your page entries to be seen at all, you have to pay for it.  Right now it's a little bit different than that.  Paying does help with greater visibility, but there is some visibility even if you don't pay.  I don't mind paying something for some of my posts, but not so much for certain types of posts like sketches or works in progress or photographs...  I've heard Google+ may be the next thing, any thoughts?

Thanks for your kind words on my headache, it has improved, I think it may have been the shifts in weather we were having...

  3. Lisa, the roses are gorgeous.

I don't know too much about Google+ but I am on it but do not use it much but I know a lot of people do and like it.

I did not know about Facebook making you pay.
    Hope someone can help you.
Maybe Lorraine might be able to.

    Glad the headaches are better.
    Take care.

  4. Love the photograph.
I agree with you about the paying. I just opened a facebook account but if they start charging, they I do not think it will be something I would be interested in.
For all of our sakes, I hope they will not start to charge.

  5. Stunning photo, Facebook would have to pay me to go visit, gosh it's too, too much ...too many things I go in and out and if they'd ever ever ask me to pay for a post, I'd laugh them off my page in a second, I don't think I'm on right now but occasionally go. Facebook, not worth a penny. I hate google they ate my Picasa and everything is harder because google took over blogger. I wouldn't pay them either, I mean it all starts free until you're hooked and the cost awakens...don't bother and those roses are truly beautiful , I'M GLAD You're better Lisa Isabella

  6. Thanks Laurie, Christine, Margie, Lady Lilith, and Lorraine! I don't think facebook will be charging to visit, but they currently have an option to pay to promote your page which may become the principal way of getting visibility...

  8. Hey Lisa ;o) Love the roses ;o)
I am not on Facebook, but many of other artists have been trying to get me on to it.
I am not on Google + and to be honest with you, I don't want to be on it! I have heard some people like it, but I have heard more people don't like it. If you are on Google + for your blog and people like I don't have it, we can't comment.
All the best my friend ;o)

Thanks for visiting! I'm unable to comment on google+ sites that don't have the blog links, but I do visit. For some reason, even though I've said no to word verification, it still shows here. If you're logged in to Google or OpenID, you should still be able to post by clicking enter without filling in the word verification. I'm sorry about the glitch...
