Mermaid Work in Progress, the Background Begins...



Here is the start of my newest mermaid painting.  In this work in progress, I have the sketch in and I've started on the background.  Her fancy betta fish inspired tail will be next.

  7. It is a pleasure and inspirations to see your WIP. I can appreciate even more the finished work. Thank you for referring me to your blog post on the Mulberry Tree. I went to visit it a few weeks ago and fell in love with the painting. I am a novice at oil painting... think I might have to add even more paint to get those thick and juicy paint strokes.
