A Little Seahorse Sketch...

Here is a sketch of a seahorse.  I'm going to paint him in around the same background and hues I plan to paint him in my mermaid with seahorses painting.  This will be a 5"x7" painting on panel.  The main reason I am painting him is that I'd like to experiment with his little spiny extrusions, I'm not sure if I'd like to paint them with a brush or with drips.  It's possible I may even decide to leave them out on the other painting depending on how it feels to me when this one is completed...

I am also participating in Sunday Sketches.  To view more Sunday Sketches, please visit:

  3. Love him... You could do a whole waterfantasy eco system with your gorgeous mermaids, seahorses, fish and lily pads. I think it would be gorgeous.
