Parmigianino Inspired Sketch Art 29 Faces Face 8 + Blue Angel Fairy Website Update...

This is face 8 for the 29 faces September challenge.  This is a master study sketch.  While I was doing research for my Athena painting that I am still working on the foundation for, I came across "Pallas Athene" by the artist known as Parmigianino from 1539.  I decided to do a sketch inspired by Girolamo Francesco Maria Mazzola's beautiful painting.  For 29 Faces, the challenge is to share 29 faces during the given month.

I am also participating in Sunday Sketches.  To view more Sunday Sketches, please visit:

  3. Your girls are lovely. I really like how the hair drapes down the shoulder of the first one and LOVE the shades of blue/grey in the second one. Great job. :)

Thanks for visiting! I'm unable to comment on google+ sites that don't have the blog links, but I do visit. For some reason, even though I've said no to word verification, it still shows here. If you're logged in to Google or OpenID, you should still be able to post by clicking enter without filling in the word verification. I'm sorry about the glitch...
