The Work Before the Art...

Alex of The Strange Art of Ledante is helping me to prep some canvases here.  I bought some hard boards to paint on and I've discovered that I like the smoothness of them.  Canvas can be great, but sometimes I end up fighting with it...  Alex suggested some gesso and sanding, so he's helped me to prepare some canvases to try this way.  Alex used to do traditional art, but is now strictly digital, except when he helps me...

  1. I started using gesso around 2 years ago and I love it! But, I have never sanded the canvases afterwards? It is a lot of prep time, but I think it's worth it ;o)
    Big Hugs ;o)

  3. Thanks Christine, Stacy, and Lorraine! Digital is definitely less messy Christine. Stacy and Lorraine, I'm not sure if I'll like it, but I'm going to give it a try... I hope you have a great weekend too!

Thanks for visiting! I'm unable to comment on google+ sites that don't have the blog links, but I do visit. For some reason, even though I've said no to word verification, it still shows here. If you're logged in to Google or OpenID, you should still be able to post by clicking enter without filling in the word verification. I'm sorry about the glitch...
