Athena Minerva with Owl Work in Progress WIP, Almost Complete!

Here is my 16"x20" Athena big eye Greek goddess (also known to the Romans as Minerva) with owl work in progress painting almost completed.  The owl just needs a bit of glazing and a touch up or two.  The completed painting will be on display tomorrow in Ontario, California.  I'd love to see you there if you'll be in the area.  The show information is here.  In case you can't make the show, I'll try to share the entirely completed painting hanging at the show and a better picture when I get her back.

I'm joining in this week with Paint Party Friday.  To see more participants, please visit:

  2. Absolutely stunning! She looks finished, so I can only imagine how spectacular this will be when you feel this painting is done. I have enjoyed watching its progression; it's a great way (for me) to learn from others. :)

  3. Great painting. Athena was a bit twisted withy her hatred toward women. You painted her better than the Greeks.

Thanks for visiting! I'm unable to comment on google+ sites that don't have the blog links, but I do visit. For some reason, even though I've said no to word verification, it still shows here. If you're logged in to Google or OpenID, you should still be able to post by clicking enter without filling in the word verification. I'm sorry about the glitch...
