Folds Practice for Angel Fairy Art Original Painting Work in Progress WIP
It seems with the angel fairy painting I'm working on, I tend to need to paint things more than once. I decided to test two different techniques for folds on a blank panel to see which I thought would work best. Alex feels the lighter colored one works best, so I'm going to give that a try for the work in progress. After all, I can always go in and paint over it in the wip if need be... Thank goodness acrylics are so forgiving!

Thanks for visiting! I'm unable to comment on google+ sites that don't have the blog links, but I do visit. For some reason, even though I've said no to word verification, it still shows here. If you're logged in to Google or OpenID, you should still be able to post by clicking enter without filling in the word verification. I'm sorry about the glitch...
Folds are very difficult for me. Just looking at the two pieces and not putting them to any angels or fairies I like the darker one. However, I know your talents will bring everything into balance.

I like the lighter coloured one too!
ReplyDeletedarker personally looks more folded
ReplyDeletefolds can be a pain in the butt to paint, always hate trying to lol
The lighter color seems to flow more ~ more whispy ~ love the wings and great color!
ReplyDeleteHappy Week to you,

Thanks Nicole, Christine, Jennifer, and carol. At the present moment, they currently look like a mix between the two... I'm not quite done with them yet though.
