In this original acrylic work in progress gothic Latina fairy angel painting, I've worked some more on the shading of her face and started on her lips. I have more refining to do with the shading and I'm not quite done with her lips, it's interesting how seeing something on the computer screen helps me to better see what needs doing. She also needs her eyebrows and eyelashes and perhaps a bit of eye shadow... I did the rough sketch for this during the 29 sketches challenge last September. I don't get to paint all of the faces inspired by the challenge, but I do get to do some of them...
This is a work in progress, but I also usually post at least one finished piece on Tuesdays if you'd like to come to visit! You also may see some of my finished paintings at www.lisarusso.com if you'd like.
I'm joining in this week with Paint Party Friday. To see more participants, please visit:

I'm also participating in Show Your Face this week.
Here is a sketch of a big eyed gothic maiden. She has a small top hat askance on her head. I love hats, but while I do have a bit of a collection, I don't have a single tiny hat, I might have to remedy that at some point in the future... I think she is most likely a fairy angel, although she could also be a mermaid or a goddess. I'm unsure if I'll paint her or not, but I did enjoy sketching her.
She is face 5 for 29 faces in February. The goal is to share 29 faces in the month of February.
This is a rough sketch. You may see some of my finished paintings at www.lisarusso.com if you'd like.

ReplyDeleteYour angel is lovely with her very fair hair. It's good that we can see our paintings in another way when they are on the screen, it's often helpful.
