In this original acrylic work in progress gothic Latina fairy angel painting, I've started working on her hair. I'm blocking it in at this point, she has a lot of hair! My inspiration image has hair across her face, I haven't decided yet how much of that I will include, but definitely some, and after that the little flowers in her hair are next... I did the rough sketch for this during the 29 sketches challenge last September. I don't get to paint all of the faces inspired by the challenge, but I do get to do some of them... I am hoping to finish her in time to list her on Tuesday, but there's still so much to do...
This is a work in progress, but I also usually post at least one finished piece on Tuesdays if you'd like to come to visit! You also may see some of my finished paintings at www.lisarusso.com if you'd like.

I'm also participating in Show Your Face this week.
Here is a sketch of a big eyed gothic maiden. She has a feeling of power and seems to be observing what she views with great care. I think she is most likely a goddess, although she could also be a mermaid or a fairy angel. I'm unsure if I'll paint her or not, but I did enjoy sketching her.
She is face 19 for 29 faces in February. The goal is to share 29 faces in the month of February.
This is a rough sketch.
Wow almost finished, it looks beautiful. And another pretty fairy! I like her necklace.
