Sketch of a Big Eye Fairy Angel, March 31 Daily Art Sketches + Sakura Cherry Blossoms Original Painting Website Update...

Here is a sketch of a big eyed gothic maiden.  She is inspired by an image by Gustave Doré for "The Rime of the Ancient Mariner."  Although she looks a bit like a fairy, the book I found her in is titled "Doré's Angels."  I doubt I'll paint her, but I did enjoy sketching her.

I've decided to try and do a sketch a day in March.  This is day 31.

This is a rough sketch.  You may see some of my finished paintings at lisarusso.com if you'd like.

New Art on my website in the floral art section here

"Sakura San" Original 8"x10" Painting, Open Edition 8"x10" Giclee Prints & Limited Edition Giclee ACEO Prints Here

"Sakura San" is my newest addition to my website.  The original acrylic painting is on panel.  The cherry blossoms are sweet and delicate.  This is the third in my series of flowers inspired by sakura.  The art has a soft realist impressionist feel.

Every week on Tuesday, I try to list a small original, some giclee art prints, and giclee LE ACEO prints at promotional prices. Visit here to see what I have available this week!

Thanks for visiting! I'm unable to comment on google+ sites that don't have the blog links, but I do visit. For some reason, even though I've said no to word verification, it still shows here. If you're logged in to Google or OpenID, you should still be able to post by clicking enter without filling in the word verification. I'm sorry about the glitch...
