Sketch of a Big Eye Fairy Angel with a Hedgehog, March 19 Daily Art + Snub Nosed Monkey Animal Original Painting Website Update...

Here is a sketch of a big eyed gothic maiden with a hedgehog.  I love hedgehogs, but I have never drawn or painted one before, they are definitely on my wishlist of what I'd like to paint...  She seems very protective of her little friend.  I think she is most likely an angel fairy, although she could also be a mermaid or goddess.  I'm unsure if I'll paint her or not, but I did enjoy sketching her.

I've decided to try and do a sketch a day in March.  This is day 19.

This is a rough sketch.  You may see some of my finished paintings at lisarusso.com if you'd like.

"Clever Monkey" Original 5"x7" Painting, Open Edition 5"x7" Giclee Prints & Limited Edition Giclee ACEO Prints Here

"Clever Monkey" is my newest addition to my website.  The original acrylic painting is on a panel.  This snub nosed monkey was painted in honor of Chinese New Year.  I love to paint animals.  The art has a soft realist impressionist feel.

Every week on Tuesday, I try to list a small original, some giclee art prints, and giclee LE ACEO prints at promotional prices. Visit here to see what I have available this week!

  5. Thanks Martin and Jennifer! Hedgehogs are so cute, I thought about having one for a pet, but they're not legal as pets in California...

Thanks for visiting! I'm unable to comment on google+ sites that don't have the blog links, but I do visit. For some reason, even though I've said no to word verification, it still shows here. If you're logged in to Google or OpenID, you should still be able to post by clicking enter without filling in the word verification. I'm sorry about the glitch...
