Sketch of a Tadjik Markhor Goat, April 17 Art Sketches Daily...
Here is a sketch of a tadjik markhor goat. I saw this fellow during a recent visit to the Los Angeles Zoo and I was fascinated by his horns. I'd like to give them to one of my Gothic maidens, but first I think I'd like to do a study of the animal itself. This is based on one of the photographs I took while visiting the L.A. Zoo. I've chosen another to sketch and once I've done that, I'll choose between them and decide which one to refine and potentially paint. I might want to get my lamb painting in progress before I go too much further with this though...
I've decided to try and do a sketch a day in April. This is day 17.
This is a rough sketch. You may see some of my finished paintings at lisarusso.com if you'd like.
I am also participating in Sunday Sketches. To view more Sunday Sketches, please visit:

Thanks for visiting! I'm unable to comment on google+ sites that don't have the blog links, but I do visit. For some reason, even though I've said no to word verification, it still shows here. If you're logged in to Google or OpenID, you should still be able to post by clicking enter without filling in the word verification. I'm sorry about the glitch...
