Original Monarch Butterfly Painting! 1st Tuesday Art Prints & ACEO Prints! September Sketches...

"Mariposa" Original 5"x7" Painting on Panel Here

This week my featured painting is "Mariposa".  I love butterflies and monarch butterflies are amongst my favorites.  Mariposa is Spanish for butterfly and to some they have the significance of ancestors returning.  The original butterfly painting is available for purchase on my website as are art prints and LE ACEO prints!

On the 1st Tuesday of the month I am listing some prints at a sale rate for 30 days  The theme this month is blue maidens...  Some of my fantasy art pieces are available as open edition giclee art and LE ACEO prints here.

Most of my art is also available on my website at www.lisarusso.com; however, I like to put some art on ebay at a lower promotional rate for the duration of the auctions... I have been updating my website. It's an ongoing project, but there is now an excellent selection of art available!

I will try to make this image available as a sale print with next week's 1st Tuesday of the month's prints...

I am linking this post with Inspire Me Monday

Here is a sketch of a big eyed gothic maiden.  She has a lanquid quality and diamonds under one eye...  I think she is most likely an angel fairy, although she could also be a goddess or a mermaid.  I'm unsure if I'll paint her or not, but I did enjoy sketching her.

I've decided to try and do a sketch a day in September.  This is from day 26.   She is also face 26 for the 29 faces challenge in September.

This is a rough sketch.

Here is a sketch of a big eyed gothic maiden.  She has a little hat with a veil cascading over her curly hair...  I think she is most likely a fairy angel, although she could also be a goddess or a mermaid.  I'm unsure if I'll paint her or not, but I did enjoy sketching her.

Thanks for visiting! I'm unable to comment on google+ sites that don't have the blog links, but I do visit. For some reason, even though I've said no to word verification, it still shows here. If you're logged in to Google or OpenID, you should still be able to post by clicking enter without filling in the word verification. I'm sorry about the glitch...
