WIP Gothic Big Eye Wednesday Addams Art Original Painting Work in Progress + September Sketches, Sketch 16, Angel...

In this original acrylic work in progress WIP big eye gothic maiden painting I'm finished with the background, I think the cemetery has a nice ambience.  Next I get to start on her, I think I'll be painting her eyes next, one of my favorite things to paint...

This big eye gothic beauty is inspired by Wednesday Addams of the Addams Family and she is set in a Gothic cemetery.  This is an 11"x14" painting on gallery wrapped canvas.

This is a work in progress, but I also usually post at least one finished piece on Tuesdays if you'd like to come to visit!  You also may see some of my finished paintings at www.lisarusso.com if you'd like.

I'm joining in this week with Paint Party Friday.  To see more participants, please visit:

Here is a sketch of a big eyed maiden.  She has hair piled up on her hair and flowing down around her...  I think she is most likely an angel fairy, although she could also be a mermaid or a goddess.  I'm unsure if I'll paint her or not, but I did enjoy sketching her.

I've decided to try and do a sketch a day in September.  This is day 16.   She is also face 16 for the 29 faces challenge in September.

This is a rough sketch.

  5. Hi Lisa Isabella! I love your Gothic Maiden. I like to paint the eyes first too. And they are my favorite part. I think when the eyes are painting it comes alive! Your Big Eyed Maiden is beautiful too. Have fun painting them. Congrats on doing the 29 faces. I wanted to but knew I couldn't give it my all. I'm excited to see these two completed! Great job! Hugs, Rasz
