WIP Monarch Butterfly Art Original Painting Work in Progress + September Sketches, Sketch 19, Pirate Lass...

In this original acrylic work in progress WIP painting of a monarch butterfly, I've been working on the background.  My Dia de los Muertos / Day of the Dead painting will have numerous butterflies and I've decided to paint one solo.  I love monarch butterflies!

This is a work in progress, but I also usually post at least one finished piece on Tuesdays if you'd like to come to visit!  You also may see some of my finished paintings at lisarusso.com if you'd like.

Ahoy mateys!  Here be a sketch 'o a big eyed maiden. In honor o' International Talk Like a Pirate Day I have sketched this bonnie pirate lass...  I reckon she be most likely a fairy angel, although she could also be a goddess or a mermaid. I be unsure if I'll paint her or not, but I did heartily enjoy sketchin' her.

Bin decided to give a go' 'n do a sketch a day in SeptembARrrrr. 'tis be day 19. She be also face 19 fer th' 29 faces challenge in SeptembARrrrr.

'tis be a rough sketch. ye may spy wit' ye eye some 'o me finished paintin's at lisarusso.com if ye'd like.
