In this original acrylic work in progress WIP big eye gothic maiden painting I've started on her skin tones. I still have many layers to go before her face is done, but this is where she is right now. I also need to paint her features and finish her blouse and then it's hair, but I will be working on her face for quite a while before then...
This big eyed gothic beauty is inspired by Wednesday Addams of the Addams Family and she is set in a cemetery. This is an 11"x14" painting on gallery wrapped canvas.
This is a work in progress, but I also usually post at least one finished piece on Tuesdays if you'd like to come to visit! You also may see some of my finished paintings at www.lisarusso.com if you'd like.
Here is a sketch of a butterfly. It is happily engulfed in a flower. I'm unsure if I'll paint it or not, but I did enjoy sketching it.
I've decided to try and do a sketch a day in October. This is day 10.
This is a rough sketch.
Love your Addams maiden, great background, too, just right for Halloween. Hugs, Valerie
