In this original acrylic work in progress WIP painting of a big eye mermaid with her angelfish friends, I've added the highlights to her eyes and have been working on her skin tones. At this point I'm a couple of layers in and she is roughly blocked in, I think she needs a couple more layers of skin tones before I move on to her hair...
This big eyed beauty is on a 16"x20" canvas in acrylics.
This is a work in progress, but I also usually post at least one finished piece on Tuesdays if you'd like to come to visit! You also may see some of my finished paintings at lisarusso.com if you'd like.

Here is a sketch of a chipping sparrow. He is set against some lovely flowers. It is very tempting to me to add this sweet round bird to my list of paintings I'd like to do... I finally have my rooster sketch as I'd like him and I think I will begin painting him today...
I've decided to try and do a sketch a day in January. This is day 9.
This is a rough sketch.
your painting is coming in so nicely and that is a sweet sparrow!

Bom dia, sou apreciador da criatividade, a sereia e o pardal já são mas vão ficar mais encantadores quando totalmente concluídos, parabéns pela sua criatividade.
