Art Sketch of a Big Eye Nature Fairy Angel, February 12 Daily Sketches...

Here is a sketch of a big eyed maiden.  She has flowers in her hair and sadness reflected in her eyes for my tree that has not survived.  Technically it is the city's and they will plant a new tree that I look forward to seeing grow...  I think she is most likely a fairy angel, although she could also be a goddess or a mermaid.  I'm unsure if I'll paint her or not, but I did enjoy sketching her.

I've decided to try and do a sketch a day in February.  This is day 12.

This is a rough sketch.  You may see some of my finished paintings at lisarusso.com if you'd like.  I am also participating in the February 29 Faces Challenge, this is face 12.

I am also participating in Sunday Sketches.  To view more Sunday Sketches, please visit:

  1. Love the detail of the flowers in her hair. Best thing is you will have a new tree now.

  5. Love your maiden, she looks so wistful. It is sad when trees don't survive, I still miss the tree outside my window. Hugs, Valerie

Thanks for visiting! I'm unable to comment on google+ sites that don't have the blog links, but I do visit. For some reason, even though I've said no to word verification, it still shows here. If you're logged in to Google or OpenID, you should still be able to post by clicking enter without filling in the word verification. I'm sorry about the glitch...
