This week I am featuring four original heart paintings.  I love Valentine's Day, while I think we should celebrate the love we share for others all year long, I do think it's wonderful that we have a special day to honor those we love in our life...  These heart paintings look great together or apart.  The originals all have elements of texture.


Most of my art is also available on my website at lisarusso.com; however, on the first Tuesday of the month, I like to put some art prints and LE ACEO prints on ebay at a lower promotional rate for the duration of the auctions...  This month, my theme is hearts; some of my hearts are abstract, some are connected to fairy angels, you may see them here.

A fun feature with these hearts is that there are some variations between the originals and the prints...

Here is a sketch of a big eyed maiden.  She has a sweet smile and her hair is blooming with flowers...  I think she is most likely a goddess, although she could also be a fairy angel or a mermaid.  I'm unsure if I'll paint her or not, but I did enjoy sketching her.

I've decided to try and do a sketch a day in February.  This is day 7.  

This is a rough sketch.  I am also participating in the February 29 Faces Challenge, this is face 7.
