My Photograph of a Champagne Rose at Descanso Gardens + June Sketches Art, Day 14 Sketch, Big Eye Fairy Angel...



I took this photograph of this rose at Descanso Gardens.  The color seemed like a lovely and beautiful champagne.  I hope that you will enjoy this photo!

Here is a sketch of a big eyed maiden.  She is casting a backwards glance and is adorned with a chain mail headress.  I think she is most likely a fairy angel, although she could also be a goddess or a mermaid.  I'm unsure if I'll paint her or not, but I did enjoy sketching her...


I've decided to try and do a sketch a day in June.  This is day 14.

    When I look at this champagne rose I remember of my childhood time and especially of the roses of my grandparents in their garden. My grandmo took care of them in summer. My grandpa prepared them for winter in order that they do not froze in our climate zone...

    That is one of the most beautiful roses that I have ever seen Lisa!!!
