WIP Anemone Flowers Floral Art Original Painting Work in Progress + August Sketches / Daily Sketch 7 / Big Eye Fairy Angel...

In this original 8"x10" work in progress WIP oil painting of two anemone flowers, I've finessed some details and also added some darks to the petals.  I still need to work on the flower's cores and possibly add a bit more glazing.  I photographed my reference for these beauties at Huntington Gardens...

This is a work in progress, but I also usually post at least one finished piece on Tuesdays if you'd like to come to visit!  You also may see some of my finished paintings at lisarusso.com if you'd like.

=====================================================

Here is a sketch of a big eyed gothic maiden.  She has a little bit of a lost look to her, but I am sure she will find her way.  I think she is most likely a fairy angel, although she could also be a mermaid or a goddess.  I'm unsure if I'll paint her or not, but I did enjoy sketching her.

I've decided to try and do a sketch a day in August.  This is day 7.

This is a rough sketch.

Thanks for visiting! I'm unable to comment on google+ sites that don't have the blog links, but I do visit. For some reason, even though I've said no to word verification, it still shows here.
