Original Big Eye Gothic Blue Angel Fairy Painting + Art Prints & ACEO Prints! Titian's Portrait of a Lady in White at the Norton Simon Museum of Art, CLOSED Show...

"Twilight Angel" Original 8"x10" Painting on Canvas Here

My featured painting is "Twilight Angel."  She has huge blue eyes, blue hair, and her wings are outstretched behind her.  She also is adorned with a flower in her hair and a blue heart necklace.  This original big eye gothic angel fairy painting is available on my website as are art prints and LE ACEO prints!

I'm sorry for being so long absent again, this year has been a different kind of year for me.  I do hope to get back on track though!  I hope you have been having a beautiful summer season.

Most of my art is also available on my website at lisabellarusso.com; however, on the first Tuesday of the month, I like to put some art prints and LE ACEO prints on ebay at a lower promotional rate for the duration of the auctions.  I'm trying something different and letting them loop around for a few turns...  This month, my theme is angels, you may see them here.

Tiziano Vecelli or Vecellio, known in English as Titian, was a premier Italian member of the 16th century Renaissance Venetian school.  This painter was renowned for his use of color and light.  He was exceptional at landscapes, mythological and religious subjects, and portraits.

It is very rare that I have had the opportunity to see a Titian in person, so when "Portrait of a Lady in White" was on display at the Norton Simon Museum of art, I jumped at the occasion.  The show has since closed, but I am including some of my close up photographs of the art to share with you some of the beauty of the piece.

The identity of the sitter has long been speculated upon.  It was queried if she might be based on his mistress or one of his daughters.  She has appeared in more than one painting and in this one is thought to perhaps encompass the Venetian spirit of beauty.

Titian lived for many years and painted throughout.  I feel very fortunate to have seen this incredible artist's piece.
