Rough Sketch of a Barn Owl for Birbfest 2025 & a Painting!

 A tale of two birbs.  


The rough sketch is a barn owl for day 14 of #birbfest2025.  The painting is a smol acrylic I did quite some time ago.  




This is a rough sketch of a barn owl for day 14 of #birbfest2025.  It was created with a mechanical pencil, a 6B pencil, and an eraser in my sketchbook.  This bird of prey has an inquisitive quality.

I know I won't complete a drawing every day for the challenge, but I intend to do a quick sketch as often as I get a chance.  After the month is through, maybe I'll pick some to create paintings with...



I created this painting of a barn owl many moons ago.  It is acrylic on canvas panel and is a soft portrait of a bird that I love.

The original painting is sold and prints are not currently available.
