Rough Sketch of a Roseate Spoonbill Bird for Birbfest 2025!

 


This is a rough sketch of a roseate spoonbill bird for day 27 of #birbfest2025.  It was created with a mechanical pencil, a 6B pencil, and an eraser in my sketchbook.  The bird has a beguiling expression.


I know I won't complete a drawing every day for the challenge, but I intend to do a quick sketch as often as I get a chance.  After the month is through, maybe I'll pick some to create paintings with...

    This is amazing! You captured the beguiling expression perfectly. I can't wait to see what other birds you do. I used to love bird watching in my backyard but we haven't seen as many come around since we put our privacy fence in. Maybe I will have to put some extra bird feed out there!
