Wordless Wednesday: Fireworks for the 4th of July...

I actually took these pictures at Downtown Disney, and it wasn't on the Fourth of July, but I still wanted to share these fireworks here today, since by chance this Wednesday manages to land exactly on the Fourth of July.  When it comes to photography, I'm generally someone who needs to take many pictures to get a handful of good ones.  Sometimes I'm lucky and that isn't the case, but usually it is.  I took many shots in this case and these are some of my favorites, especially the last one, I think it feels almost like a space photo.  Actually, some of the ones I liked the best were ones that were failures as shots of fireworks, but looked a bit like orbs.  For today though, and my wordy "wordless" Wednesday, here are some fireworks.  I hope that however you celebrate today, it is wonderful for you...  And if this is not a day of celebration for you, I hope it is wonderful for you too!

  2. We don't celebrate 4th of July here in Denmark like you do - only people from the American Embassy are. What a lovely sight of fireworks - That action is one of the hardest thing to make photo of I believe. Thank you for your visit at my blog Denmark! ..

  5. Great photos! Very appropriate for today. Here in Canada, we don't celebrate July 4 either, but I hope you had a wonderful holiday.

I haven't tried to photograph fireworks yet. Maybe one day. You did a great job!

  6. It's been a wonderful 4th and even nicer to end it with the sight of fireworks here at your blog. You did a fantastic job photographing. I would love to be at Disney enjoying that display. I bet it's a great one there tonight. Thanks so much for taking time to check out my blog and for leaving such encouraging words about the cards I made. You made me smile.

Thanks also Mariane and Marie for visiting even though it's not also a holiday in your countries :).

I definitely took more photographs that didn't turn out than that did, but regardless, I did enjoy the show...

  11. Great photos! I think the 'take many shots to get a few good ones is true for everyone, even professional photographers. And I know I draw many sketches before I find a few I like!

Thanks for visiting! I'm unable to comment on google+ sites that don't have the blog links, but I do visit. For some reason, even though I've said no to word verification, it still shows here. If you're logged in to Google or OpenID, you should still be able to post by clicking enter without filling in the word verification. I'm sorry about the glitch...
