In this original 8"x10" work in progress WIP oil painting of two anemone flowers, I've been refining the lights of the paintings. My next step will be to finesse some details and also add some darks of the petals. I also need to work on the flower's cores, but I'm a ways off from that. I photographed my reference for these beauties at Huntington Gardens...
This is a work in progress, but I also usually post at least one finished piece on Tuesdays if you'd like to come to visit! You also may see some of my finished paintings at lisarusso.com if you'd like.

Here is a sketch of a big eyed maiden. She is the Greek goddess Hera, Juno to the Romans. I'm hoping to paint her, but the sketch will need some refining and I need to work on some peacock friends...
I've decided to try and do a sketch a day in June. This is from day 29.
This is a rough sketch.
Here is a sketch of a foal. This young horse has a sweet expression... I'm unsure if I'll paint him or not, but I did enjoy sketching him.
