29 Faces, Face 12, Perhaps a Goddess...

This is face 12, I think she would make a wonderful big eyed goddess, I am not sure which one though.  For 29 Faces, the challenge is to share 29 faces in the month of February...

Usually on Mondays, I also share things which inspire me, but I'm a little short on time this day, so for today, I share only this sketch.

Sketches of Five Faces: Please Vote for which to paint!

Here are five of the sketches from the 29 faces challenge, I've excluded two because I have some definite ideas about painting them larger at a later point.  I would like to do a small painting of one of these five this week.  If you'd like to vote on which one, just leave a comment as to which you'd prefer and I'll tally the votes on Tuesday at around four, adding up the votes of my blog and facebook page together.  In the event of a tie, or no votes, I'll just draw one out of a hat.  I might do this weekly with different sketches.  I also may use the sketches and paintings based on the sketches posted in other art at different times.  This painting will be a small 5"x7", with some cropping to fit the format, that I will try to complete between Tuesday and the Tuesday next...

This is face 10, I think she would make a wonderful mermaid with her long flowing hair.  For 29 Faces, the challenge is to share 29 faces in the month of February...

Face 11

This is my painting Violet Dreams, the original is not for sale, however she is available on my website here as an 8"x10" print and a limited edition ACEO.  She is inspired by one of Leonardo da Vinci's paintings.  This gothic angel fairy big eyed beauty has deep purple hair and eyes and is composed primarily of hues of blue.

She is face 11 for the 29 Faces challenge.

29 Faces, Face 7 Sketch of Possible Gothic Alice in Wonderland Queen...

Face 7

I think I'd like to possibly paint this face as a gothic Alice in Wonderland queen at some point in the future.  I'm not anywhere near starting, but I'm in the prep stage for an Alice painting, I'd like Alice to be holding a white rabbit.  This is face number 7.  For 29 Faces, the challenge is to share 29 faces in the month of February...

This week I am listing "Iris Dream" at my promotional rate as a print and ACEO.  The original big eye gothic flower fairy maiden painting is available for purchase on my website!   I also have additional giclee art and ACEO prints on ebay here.

She is also face 6.  For 29 Faces, the challenge is to share 29 faces in the month of February.  I actually did the initial sketch for her in last year's 29 Faces...

Most of my art is also available on my website at http://www.lisarusso.com; however, I like to offer some art on ebay at a lower promotional start rate for the duration of the auctions...  I am just getting started at updating and adding payment buttons to my website.  It's a very slow project, but one I hope to focus on.

This week I am listing "Together," an original painting of two horses grazing together!  In honor of the Year of the Horse, I also have additional giclee art and ACEO prints here with a theme of mostly horses and magical horses.  

I wasn't able to finish the horse that was voted for in time for today, but I will try to have it completed for next Tuesday.

  

LACMA Show Fashioning Fashion III, Angel Sketch Face 5, & A Bit of Cuteness...

I was looking through my reference images files, and I came across two folders with images from the LACMA show Fashioning Fashion: European Dress in Detail, 1700–1915.  I love fashion and find it very inspiring.  Here are some of the images to the show, I hope that you will enjoy them.  I will post more from this show on other Mondays, although probably not always consecutively.

Faces 3 and 4

Here is "All Creatures Great and Small," a painting of a big eyed gothic angel holding a black cat.  She is in a dark red velvet dress and has black hair with green highlights and is wearing a green heart necklace.  They both have green eyes.  The original painting is 11"x14" and is now up on my website here as an original, 8"x10" print, and LE ACEO prints.
