Here is a work in progress image of my oak tree painting. I'm a little bit farther along then this, but I thought it would be fun to post it with just the sky and some of the leaves since in my sketch all it was was the trunks and branches... I'm hoping to get this done by tomorrow for Nibblefest.
Anyway, I'm joining in this week with Paint Party Friday. To see more participants, please visit:

Wonderful painting! HPPF!
Beautiful tree painting. Love the sky and leaf colors.
love how twisty and turn-y the trunks and branches are! HPPF!
intriguing and full of possibility! a fun peek at what's to come...
Interesting to see those negative spaces. This looks like it will be a wonderful painting when its finished. I love the perspective you have on the tree.
I love the painting and love the way you left all those negative spaces to fill in. I always try to paint trees the other way - even tho I've been told to try that way. Hope to see it in it's finished state soon. HPPF
Thanks so much for the kind words on my oak painting! I've finished it in time too...
bellefrogworks, I tend to work from back to front, but not always though...
Wow this is awesome. I can't wait to see the finished piece.

Lovely WIP! Happy PPF!
Thanks very much Nicole and Anne, I've finished and it's posted above, but I'll post the link next Friday for PPF directly too so it's easy to find.
I love the way it looks now Lisa! Very cool looking ;o)
Interesting perspective Stacy, I never thought of having them be white trees! I had already painted them brown by the time I read your intriguing comment though...
It's beginning is beautiful. I am very interested to see it done; I think it will be lovely.
