Sovereign of Sorrow - Drawlloween Day 30

Presenting "Sovereign of Sorrow" for Day 30 of #Drawlloween! πŸͺžπŸ‘‘πŸŽ✨

Remember the empty magic mirror frame teaser I shared back on Day 13? She has finally revealed herself for the Tricksy Treat prompt!

Inspired by Disney’s classic Evil Queen from Snow White, this piece captures her regal melancholy. Crowned in an intricate golden headpiece, her luminous golden-green eyes gaze outward while heavy tears cascade down one side of her face, matched by a single, solitary teardrop on the other.

Painted in traditional oils on a custom teardrop wood panel (7.25" x 10.5") over a glowing golden gesso base, showcased inside a magnificent, ornate golden frame (14" x 19" overall). Resting beside the frame is a dangerously tempting crimson apple—a reminder that some treats are mostly tricks. 🍎✨

✨ "Sovereign of Sorrow" is currently available. Please send a DM if you are interested in welcoming this centerpiece into your collection! πŸ’š

The Button-Eyed Bandit - Drawlloween Day 28

Presenting "The Button-Eyed Bandit" for Day 28 of #Drawlloween! 🦝πŸͺ΅✨

For the Beast prompt, meet Jimothy the Younger (or Jimothee, as his closest fans call him!), the sweet, chibi incarnation of our favorite raccoon rascal!

He completely stole my heart when I painted his elder self for Day 23's Cryptid prompt (The Burlap Bandit), and I simply couldn't resist bringing his adorable younger form to life to show off his tiny beastie spirit! 🐾✨

Painted in traditional oils on a 4" x 4" cradled wood panel (7/8" depth). The edges showcase the crisp, natural unpainted wood grain for a clean, modern aesthetic. Unframed, but hanging hardware can gladly be added upon request for immediate display!

✨ "The Button-Eyed Bandit" is currently available. Please send a DM if you are interested in welcoming this piece into your collection! πŸ’š

Innsmouth Gaze - Drawlloween Day 27

Presenting "Innsmouth Gaze" for Day 27 of #Drawlloween! πŸ™πŸŒŠ✨

For the Siren prompt, meet a big-eyed deep-sea beauty straight from the abyssal depths! Inspired by Lovecraftian lore and the mysterious Deep Ones, she features flowing orange-gold tentacle hair and striking, octopus-inspired pupils with the shimmering golden gesso base gleaming through her eyes.

Floating alongside her are two adorable, delightfully bumpy Tubby Snailfish (Careproctus colliculi chonkers!) who couldn't resist her gentle, abyssal allure. 🐚✨

Painted in traditional oils on paper (a 5.25" x 6" oval composition with delicate fins extending out to 6.25"), housed in a breathtaking, ornate vintage velvet-lined frame (11.5" x 13.5" overall).

✨ "Innsmouth Gaze" is currently available. Please send a DM if you are interested in welcoming this piece into your collection! πŸ’š

Remember the preliminary graphite study I shared back on Day 4? This sweet, fluffy, and delightfully round owlet with luminous golden eyes has officially returned, fully realized atop a glowing red blood moon! 🩸✨

Painted in traditional oils over glowing golden gesso on a 4.25" x 10" Trekell Baltic Birch Crescent Moon Panel. The back features a custom CNC-routed keyhole, allowing this piece to hang flush against your wall without requiring a frame!

Moths & Melancholy - Drawlloween Day 25 - Emily Corpse Bride Inspired Painting

Presenting "Moths & Melancholy" for Day 25 of #Drawlloween! πŸ–€πŸͺ½✨

Always the bridesmaid, never the bride... until the afterlife. πŸ₯€

For the Ghost prompt, this piece explores the delicate, tragic space between grief and grace. Inspired by the quiet beauty of Emily from Corpse Bride, I wanted her massive, soulful eyes to carry her entire story, punctuated by cascading purple mascara tears streaming down her cheek.

Hovering around her are delicate moths touched with shimmering, iridescent accents that catch the ambient light as you pass by the canvas. In gothic lore, moths are perpetually drawn toward light in the dark—much like a heart that gently refuses to surrender its hope for love. ✨

Painted in traditional oils on paper (4" x 6") and housed in a gorgeous, ornate silver butterfly frame (6" x 8" overall).

✨ "Moths & Melancholy" is currently available. Please send a DM if you are interested in welcoming this piece into your collection! πŸ’š

The Burlap Bandit (Jimothy Painting) - Drawlloween Day 23

Presenting "The Burlap Bandit" for Day 23 of #Drawlloween! πŸ¦πŸŽ’✨

For the Cryptid prompt, meet Jimothy the Elder (or do you prefer Jimothee?), the most charming little raccoon bandit to ever cross my easel! He completely captured my heart and brush while painting this piece. Fingers crossed he makes a second appearance as his younger self for Day 28's Beast prompt! πŸͺ΅πŸ¦

Painted in oils on a 4" x 4" cradled wood panel (7/8" depth). The sides display the crisp, natural unpainted wood grain for a clean, modern display. Unframed, but hanging hardware can gladly be added upon request!

Plump & Polyphonic - Drawlloween Day 21

Presenting "Plump & Polyphonic" for Day 21 of #Drawlloween! 🐦‍⬛✨πŸ•Š️

For the Strange Shadows prompt, meet Larry! Inspired by a frequent, delightfully rotund birdbath visitor shared with me by my friend Nikki, Larry overflows his birdbath so magnificently that the base has cracked under the pressure. Yet, despite his grand, buxom size, his cast shadow reveals his inner soul: a joyous, tiny bird singing its heart out.

Rendered on toned gray paper (12" x 9" sheet size with a 10" x 8" artwork area) using black, blue, and white pencils with crisp gel pen highlights. Depending on your framing preference, the paper can easily be trimmed to 8" x 10" or matted to fit a 11" x 14" frame!

Tiny Totoro Terrors (Sketch) - Drawlloween Day 15

Presenting "Tiny Totoro Terrors" for Day 15 of #Drawlloween! 🐾🐾🌱✨

For the Tiny Terrors prompt, I sketched a playful gathering of tiny Chibi Totoros (Sho-Totoro) nestled among the many legs of a creature loosely inspired by Studio Ghibli’s Catbus! Look closely and you'll find one peaceful little spirit sleeping soundly in the cozy crook of its curled tail.

My initial vision for this piece was to evolve it into a high-contrast black-and-white study exploring positive and negative space, drawn from the concept foundation of Endogeny. Rather than rushing those intricate passages through the studio, I decided to share this graphite concept study as it stands and take my time fully developing the finished piece in the future! πŸ’š

Sovereign of Sorrow (Mirror Teaser) - Drawlloween Day 13

Presenting a studio teaser for "Sovereign of Sorrow" on Day 13 of #Drawlloween! πŸͺžπŸ‘‘✨

For the mirror prompt, I’m sharing a glimpse of the magnificent 14" x 19" ornate golden frame and custom teardrop panel (7.25" x 10.5") prepared with golden gesso for an upcoming oil painting! Inspired by Disney's classic Evil Queen from Snow White, she has not yet revealed herself—think of this as the magic mirror in its resting, slumbering state.

I plan to bring her fully to life in traditional water soluble oils for her official debut during Day 30's prompt, Tricksy Treat! 🍎✨

"Desolate yet all undaunted, on this desert land enchanted..."

— Edgar Allan Poe

For the raven prompt, this piece features a portrait of a delightfully fierce, moody raven perched in eternal vigilance.

Rendered on black paper using white pencil, gentle blue accents in the background, and crisp white gel pen highlights. The drawing itself is a smol 4" x 4" and comes showcased in a gorgeous, ornate black frame (6.5" x 6.5" overall).

Presenting a special showcase for Day 8 of #Drawlloween! 🏰✨πŸ–Ό️

Recently, I had the absolute joy of attending Jasmine Becket-Griffith’s exhibition at WonderGround Gallery in Downtown Disney. Her epic artwork never fails to leave me inspired, but seeing the wonderful warmth and generosity of her collector community was just as special! It was so delightful catching up with Nikki, Carol, Victoria, and Jeff.

While I’ll be sharing photos of her finished paintings in an upcoming post, today I wanted to share a few of her original graphite drawings for her Disney-exclusive pieces. I am a massive fan of her works on paper—the linework and delicate shading are simply exquisite!

Today’s prompt is Haunted House. It might be a gentle stretch for this post, but I certainly wouldn't mind having my studio haunted by some of Jasmine’s marvelous drawings! πŸ–€

For the owl prompt, I captured this round, big-eyed little creature as a preliminary study in graphite on sketch paper.

CorazΓ³n OnΓrico (Work in Progress) & Mab Graves Drawlloween Official Prompt List

I love Halloween season so much! πŸŽƒ✨ Every October, the incredible Mab Graves hosts #MabGravesDrawlloween Club, a challenge filled with so much joy, creativity, and community inspiration—and the prompt list is finally here!

Because of my slow, traditional painting process, I won't be able to tackle every single daily prompt, but I’m starting early so I can share as much magic with you as possible. πŸŽ¨πŸ¦„

Swipe to see a peek at my current work-in-progress! I’ve been building up the underpainting on the big-eyed nymph, while her little unicorn foal is currently sitting as delicate line art over glowing golden gesso.

I’m aiming to share the completed piece, "CorazΓ³n OnΓrico" (Dreamy Heart), on October 5th for the Mythological prompt!

Swipe through to check out the full prompt list in case you’d like to create along, too. Huge thanks to @mabgraves for hosting this incredible challenge every year! πŸ–€

Complete Sanrio Hello Kitty x Godzilla Happy Meal Toy Collection

This isn’t my usual art, but this little collection brought me so much joy that I just had to share! πŸ¦–πŸŽ€✨

Here is my complete set of all eight McDonald's Sanrio x Godzilla Happy Meal toys, displayed in their original boxes inside a display case from Five Below.

It all started when my friend Nikki gifted me my very first one. I originally stopped by a few McDonald's locations just intending to help her hunt down pieces for her own collection... only to quickly realize I was accidentally starting one for myself!

What followed was an absolute adventure spanning multiple days, several locations, and an abundance of Happy Meals. As a vegetarian, I owe a huge thank you to Alex and my mom for eating the brunt of all those meals so I could collect the toys! 🍟

Huge thanks to Nikki for setting me off on this epic quest!

Tell me in the comments: Are you Team Sanrio or Team Kaiju? πŸ‘‡

The Lily Lurker

I’ve been taking a quiet little break from social media, but before #Frogust comes to an end, I wanted to introduce you to "The Lily Lurker" from The Huntington Hollows series! 🐸🌸✨

He is a round oil painting on 4.5" paper, presented in an 8" round ornate metal frame that gives him the magical feel of a vintage keepsake.

Could this tiny frog be a prince? This petal peeper looks a bit grumpy at being discovered hiding right in the heart of the water lily—so I'm not entirely sure he’d let you steal a kiss to find out!

His eyes feature a warm golden glimmer that echoes subtly throughout the painting. The surrounding water lily was directly inspired by a photograph I took during one of my peaceful strolls through the Huntington Gardens.

✨ "The Lily Lurker" is currently available. Please send a DM if you are interested in welcoming this tiny nymph of the nymphaea into your collection! πŸ’š

She is a round oil painting on 5.25" paper, beautifully housed in a 10" round ornate metal frame that gives her the feel of a vintage keepsake.

This sweet mermaid features soft brown skin, vibrant purple hair, and soulful, big green eyes flecked with hints of gold. Resting on her head is a massive pink water lily with a glowing golden core—directly inspired by a photograph I took during one of my peaceful walks through the Huntington Gardens.

Happy Father’s Day! 🌊

Today I wanted to share my painting, CA Coastline. This piece holds a very special place in my heart because it is based entirely on a photograph taken by my dad at Point Dume in Zuma Beach.

My father always had a deep love for the ocean, and he captured the beautiful, sweeping spirit of the California coast perfectly in his photo. Getting to translate his eye for composition into my own traditional painting layers was a wonderful experience, and it's a memory I cherish every time I look at this piece.

Wishing a beautiful and peaceful day to all the fathers, creators, and mentors out there who inspire us to see the beauty in the world around us. 🎨✨

Happy Mother's Day!

πŸ‰ Mothers hold our hands for a little while, but they hold the world forever. πŸ’«

I wanted to share this moment of my mother’s hands holding my "Mother of Dragons" piece. To me, it perfectly captures the heart of motherhood—the steady, nurturing strength that supports every wild dream and every brushstroke. 🎨✨

Behind every dragon-sized ambition I’ve ever had, she has been the anchor. Whether she’s accompanying me on a garden adventure or simply being the first to see a new painting, her belief in me is the light I paint by. πŸ•Š️

Happy Mother’s Day to the world-builders, the dream-protectors, and the women who carry so much magic in their hands. ❤️

Happy Cinco de Mayo! πŸ‡²πŸ‡½✨

Taking a moment this afternoon to dive into #MerMay with a new soul from "The Huntington Hollows" series.

This is a first look at "Sirena coronada de pΓ©talos" (Petal-Crowned Mermaid). Currently, I’ve been focusing on her warm skin tones and those deep green eyes—infused, of course, with a signature golden glimmer. 🧜‍♀️✨

There is still so much magic to come! I’m looking forward to layering in her flowing purple hair and the vibrant pink waterlily with its golden core. Even in these early stages, she’s already starting to find her voice in the hollows.

It’s been a busy morning out with my mother, but settling into these details is the perfect way to spend the rest of my day. 🌸🎨

Are you participating in MerMay this year, or are you just here to enjoy the underwater magic? Let me know in the comments! πŸ‘‡

A long time ago, in a galaxy surprisingly full of fluff... πŸ’«πŸ›Έ

Happy Star Wars Day! To celebrate #MayThe4th, I wanted to share this little soul from the cliffs of Ahch-To: "The Piteous Porg."

Photographed here amidst the glow of my Hello Kitty fairy lights, there is something so captivating about those massive, glass-like eyes—they were practically made for the "big eye" style! I wanted to capture that quintessential look of tiny, feathered concern that stole everyone’s hearts (and famously saved them from becoming a Wookiee’s snack). 🐧✨

✨ The Details ✨

Title: The Piteous Porg

Medium: Original oil painting on a cradled basswood panel.

Size: 4" x 4" (7/8" depth).

Features: Natural, unpainted wood edges for a clean, modern look.

🏠 Availability: This original piece is currently available for adoption! Please DM me directly for details if you need a little "Force-Sensitive Fluff" for your walls.

May the Force be with you today—whether you’re a Jedi, a rebel, or just a very worried bird on a remote island. 🌌

Are you Team Porg or Team Ewok when it comes to the "fluffiest" side of the Force? πŸ‘‡

Happy May Day! 🌷✨

While the tulips at home have finished their dance for the year, I’m still feeling so inspired by the vibrant colors I captured during my last visit to Descanso Gardens.

A bit of floral inspiration—and a little peek at what’s currently emerging on my easel! 🐸πŸͺ·

This is a very early look at "The Lily Lurker," part of my ongoing Huntington Hollows series. He’s a small study in water-soluble oils, and right now, I’m letting that golden gesso foundation do the heavy lifting before the final layers of green and petal-pink take over. He’ll eventually be housed in a lovely round frame to match the curves of his garden home!

May your month be full of new growth, fresh color, and a little bit of garden magic.

What is blooming in your corner of the world today? πŸ‘‡
