I took this photograph of cherry blossoms at Descanso Gardens this year, although I do not think the cherry blossom trees are in bloom there right now. They are such a delicate flower with such a brief blooming perioud, but they are a favorite of mine. I hope that you will enjoy this photo!

Here is a sketch of a big eyed gothic maiden. Her head is tilted and her elf ears are peeking out... I think she is most likely an elven angel fairy, although she could also be a mermaid or goddess. I'm unsure if I'll paint her or not, but I did enjoy sketching her.
I've decided to try and do a sketch a day in March. This is day 30.

The maiden is an adorable sketch. I love Descanzo gardens - I've gone about 3 times and after reading your post - i think I'm due a visit soon.
