In this original work in progress WIP big eye gothic maiden painting I've finally mixed the color I've been hoping for for the background... I'm a few layers into her eyes, they need a bit more finesse and then I'll paint the highlights. Her hair will be one of the last things I paint, but it's so beautiful, I hope I can do it justice when I get there...
This big eyed gothic beauty is on an 8"x10" panel in acrylics and has a lovely oval frame waiting for her.
This is a work in progress, but I also usually post at least one finished piece on Tuesdays if you'd like to come to visit! You also may see some of my finished paintings at lisarusso.com if you'd like.

Here is a sketch of an amaryllis flower. I dreamt of sketching an amaryllis flower, and so I did... I'm unsure if I'll paint it or not, but I did enjoy sketching it.
I've decided to try and do a sketch a day in December. This is day 7.
This is a rough sketch.

Glad you found the right background colour, and I'm looking forward to seeing more of your lovely maiden. Hugs, Valerie
