Amigurumi Crochet Totoro Doll Made by my Mother for Me!

My mother is an artist, but she creates with yarn instead of paints.  She knows I love Totoro and made this amazing doll for me.  I am so moved by her sweet and beautiful gift.  I wanted to share this with you...

Edit: This doll is Not for Sale. Sorry and thanks for the interest.

My Photograph of the Totoro Pumpkin my Mother Carved for Halloween + Sketch of a Big Eye Angel, Fairy, & Mermaid/ October 30 & 31 / November 1 Art Sketches Daily...

My mother carved this adorable Totoro inspired pumpkin for Halloween and I took this photograph to share with you!  I hope you enjoy this extra dose of cuteness...

=================================================

Here is a sketch of a big eyed maiden.  She has a look of gentle intensity...  I think she is most likely an angel fairy, although she could also be a mermaid or a goddess.  I'm unsure if I'll paint her or not, but I did enjoy sketching her.

I've decided to try and do a sketch a day in October. This is from day 30.

I would like to try to reach a goal of 100 faces sketched on consecutive days, I started this effort on September 1st, 2017...  This is face 60.

This is a rough sketch.  You may see some of my finished paintings at lisarusso.com if you'd like.

WIP Angel Fairy Art Original Painting Work in Progress + August Sketches, Sketch 1, Totoro...

In this original acrylic work in progress WIP big eye maiden painting I'm at around the same place as the other one that I'm working on.  I've painted her eyes and I've done a few layers on her face.  I still have more layers to go with more shading before I move on to her eyebrows, eyelashes, and lips; but I'm liking the direction she is going in.  This angel fairy is a little 4"x4" acrylic painting.

This is a work in progress, but I also usually post at least one finished piece on Tuesdays if you'd like to come to visit!  You also may see some of my finished paintings at www.lisarusso.com if you'd like.

Here is a sketch of Totoro.  It's based on an tiny 2" plush that I have that sits on the bookshelf.  I'm a huge Miyazaki fan and I especially love the anime My Neighbor Totoro.  I'm doubt I'll paint him, but I did enjoy sketching him.
