Sketch of a Big Eye Gothic Fairy DDLM DOTD makeup options, August 21, Art Sketches Daily...

Here are some sketches of a big eyed gothic maiden.  They are of some make up options for my next Dia de los Muertos / Day of the Dead painting.  She will also have butterflies, but I'd like to finalize the makeup before I add in the monarchs.  I think she is most likely a fairy, although she could also be a mermaid or a goddess.  I'm unsure if I'll paint her or not, but I did enjoy sketching her.

I've decided to try and do a sketch a day in August.  This is day 21.

This are rough sketches.  You may see some of my finished paintings at lisarusso.com if you'd like.

I am also participating in Sunday Sketches.  To view more Sunday Sketches, please visit:

she seem to have a bad day. Nice to see such sketches also. I think she is some kind of fairy.

My eyes are so crummy I thought the three were alike, but whenI enlarged them I found many many differences. I finally have a picture in my mind of a gothic fairy with big eyes Cant wait to see them finished. Have a nice week. Genie

Thank you most kindly Valerie-Jael, NatureFootstep, Christine, and Genie. I think the middle one is closest to what I am going with...

are you going to have the colour scheme be the same as the butterflies??

She is going to look spectacular when she's finished!

Thanks very much Martin, Jennifer, and Serena. I'm going to have the color scheme complement the butterflies, but I haven't decided yet entirely.
