WIP Kitty Cat Art Original Painting Work in Progress + Sketch of a Big Eye Fantasy Maidens & Flowers/ January 1-7 / Art Sketches Daily...

I apologize for having been away for a while without giving any notice, I've been a bit distracted.  I hope to be back again on Tuesday with some later than usual listings with an angel theme...

In this original acrylic work in progress WIP painting of a cat I've been working on her underpainting.  I'm a couple of layers in.  She's actually a black kitty, but when the light hits her she sometimes glows a golden brown...  The panel that I'm painting on is 8"x10"

This is a work in progress, but I also usually post at least one finished piece on Tuesdays if you'd like to come to visit!  You also may see some of my finished paintings at lisarusso.com if you'd like.

Here is a sketch of a calla lily.  This flower has a beautiful twirling quality...  I'm unsure if I'll paint it or not, but I did enjoy sketching it.

Here is a sketch of a big eyed maiden.  She has a sweet shell necklace...  I think she is most likely a mermaid, although she could also be a fairy angel or a goddess.  I'm unsure if I'll paint her or not, but I did enjoy sketching her.
