Original Calla Lily Painting! Art Prints & ACEO Prints! May 5-8 Sketches...

"Flowing Grace" Original 12"x24" Painting on Canvas Here

This week my featured painting is "Flowing Grace".  I thought for this piece, it would be fun to use a long, narrow canvas.  Calla lilies are one of my favorite flowers, they have a beautiful flow to them. The original calla lily floral painting is available for purchase on my website as are art prints and LE ACEO prints!  The prints are cropped to standard sizes.

Most of my art is also available on my website at lisarusso.com; however, on the first Tuesday of the month, I like to put some art prints and LE ACEO prints on ebay at a lower promotional rate for the duration of the auctions...  This #mermay month, my theme is mermaids and mermaid friends, you may see them here.

I am linking this post with Inspire Me Monday

May 5-8 Sketches

Here is a sketch of a big eyed maiden.  She has a sweet heart on her cheek...  I think she is most likely a goddess, although she could also be a fairy angel or a mermaid.  I'm unsure if I'll paint her or not, but I did enjoy sketching her.

I've decided to try and do a sketch a day in May. This is from day 5.

WIP Kitty Cat Art Original Painting Work in Progress + Sketch of a Big Eye Fairy & Calla Lily Flower/ December 27 & 28 / Art Sketches Daily...

In this original acrylic work in progress WIP painting of a cat I've completed the background.  I started with the base color that I shared last week and then combined two colors on top, wet into wet.  After that I spritzed the colors with water so they combined even more.  Then I let it dry completely.  Most of the areas really worked, but on those that didn't I repeated the process.  Next I'll move on to the kitty underpainting...  The panel that I'm painting on is 8"x10"

This is a work in progress, but I also usually post at least one finished piece on Tuesdays if you'd like to come to visit!  You also may see some of my finished paintings at lisarusso.com if you'd like.

I'm a little early, but I'm going to try to join in this week with Paint Party Friday.  To see more participants, please visit:

I'm so thrilled to be back in town, but I'm a bit under the weather, I will try to post when I can, but it may be a bit before I'm back to my usual schedule...

"Make Time to Cuddle" Original 5"x7" Painting Sold, Art Prints & LE ACEO Prints Here.

Usually I share an available original piece on Tuesday, but although the original big eye cat painting has sold, this Siamese Balinese kitten just felt like visiting...

Most of my art is also available on my website at lisarusso.com; however, on the first Tuesday of the month, I like to put some art prints and LE ACEO prints on ebay at a lower promotional rate for the duration of the auctions...  This month, my theme is flowers and includes a selection of some of my white flower art; you may see them here.

However, this time the auctions will go dark before the next 1st Tuesday, so I'm listing this one as a bonus sale print and LE ACEO...  There will hopefully be additional art available as open edition giclee art and LE ACEO prints next Tuesday.

WIP Big Eye Gothic Maiden Art Original Painting Work in Progress + November Sketches, Sketch 25 & 26, Calla Lily Flower + Big Eye Angel Fairy...

In this original work in progress WIP big eye gothic maiden painting I've been working the background.  I feel this is a bit too light and I'd like some more Payne's Grey mixed in with the purple, but this will serve as a base for a darker background.  The sketch is a bit light, but for those of you who have monitors that don't register the soft lines, fear not, additional details are coming soon...

This big eyed gothic beauty is on an 8"x10" panel in acrylics and has a lovely oval frame waiting for her.

This is a work in progress, but I also usually post at least one finished piece on Tuesdays if you'd like to come to visit!  You also may see some of my finished paintings at www.lisarusso.com if you'd like.

I'm prepping my lisianthus flowers painting for the December Miniatures and Small Works Exhibit at the Whittier Art Gallery!  The show will open on December 3rd and close on December 24th, I'll try to post full details and a picture of the painting framed tomorrow...

My Photograph of a Calla Lily in my Garden + Fairy Angel Big Eye Curly Haired Gothic Sketch Art...

I took this photograph of a calla lily just starting to bloom in my garden.  It was just after some rain and it had delicate water droplets  I love calla lilies, they are such a beautiful flower.  I hope that you will enjoy this photo!

Here is a sketch of a big eye gothic maiden.  She is a fairy angel with beautiful curly hair.  I was drawn to sketch her by her curls.  I don't think I've painted curly hair before, I've done ringlets (once), but I find her mass of curls highly appealing.  I'm not sure if I'll paint her or not, but I did enjoy sketching her.
