"Portrait of a Renegade" is one of my most recent paintings and the original big eye painting is spoken for, but prints and LE ACEO prints are available upon request. This was my first time painting graffiti and one of my first Holbein Duo Water Soluble oil paintings. I very much enjoyed the process.

This week I am featuring four original heart paintings. I love Valentine's Day, while I think we should celebrate the love we share for others all year long, I do think it's wonderful that we have a special day to honor those we love in our life... These heart paintings look great together or apart. The originals all have elements of texture. The art has a lowbrow contemporary pop abstract feel.
In honor of Valentine's day, I will offer the originals with free shipping if you purchase one of these original hearts by February 14th 2018. Just message me with the title of the heart you want for you or a loved one and I'll send you a paypal invoice with the adjusted rate or I'll refund you the cost of shipping after purchase...

Part I
I found this art installation absolutely adorable. "Here Comes Sunshine" is the debut U.S. Installation of artist Pip & Pop. I was at the Corey Helford Gallery to see another show, but found the installation as well as the available pieces of "The Rainbow Gang" utterly charming. They also had a video of Australian artist Tanya Schultz discussing and creating some of her fascinating works. With sugar and assorted materials, she aims to create an earthly utopia.
This is part I of II of the Pip & Pop art focused on the "Here Comes Sunshine" Installation.

This week my featured painting is "More Than One Way to Fly". It is an original painting of a big eye fairy steampunk lass with her magical fox squirrel friend and a departing hot air balloon. She's missed her flight, but she will catch the next one... Her dress is adorned with a heart. Here is a sketch of a big eyed maiden. She has a sweet smile and her hair is blooming with flowers... I think she is most likely a goddess, although she could also be a fairy angel or a mermaid. I'm unsure if I'll paint her or not, but I did enjoy sketching her.

"Heart of Darkness" is one of my heart paintings. It part of my series of 5"x5" textured heart paintings. I love hearts, I think they're wonderful and romantic any time of year. This one has a black textured heart that comes up off of the canvas with a border, it is a lovely gothic expression of love. Due to the square format of the original, I did a digital variation to fit the 5"x7" print format which you may see on my website. The art has an abstract pop contemporary feel. This week I am listing four original heart paintings. I love Valentine's Day, although I think we should celebrate the love we share for others all year long, I think it's wonderful that we have a special day to honor those we love in our life...
I also have additional giclee art and ACEO prints here with variations on my heart inspired art. Some are dark and gothic, some are soft and sweet; I think they all have a romantic feel.
Most of my art is also available on my website at http://www.lisarusso.com; however, I like to offer some art on ebay at a lower promotional start rate for the duration of the auctions... I have started at updating and adding payment buttons to my website. It's a very slow project, but one I hope to focus on.
