Happy Valentine's Day Wishes! Original Big Eye Steampunk Fairy Angel w/Fox Squirrel Friend Painting + Art Prints & ACEO Prints! February Sketches...

Happy Valentine's Day wishes from this fairy angel, her little fox squirrel friend, and I to you!

"More Than One Way to Fly" Original 11"x14" Painting on Canvas Here

This week my featured painting is "More Than One Way to Fly".  It is an original painting of a big eye fairy steampunk lass with her magical fox squirrel friend and a departing hot air balloon.  She's missed her flight, but she will catch the next one...  Her dress is adorned with a heart.  This original big eye steampunk angel fairy painting is available for purchase on my website as are art prints and LE ACEO prints!  The art has a lowbrow surreal feel.

Most of my art is also available on my website at lisarusso.com; however, on the first Tuesday of the month, I like to put some art prints and LE ACEO prints on ebay at a lower promotional rate for the duration of the auctions...  This month, my theme is hearts; some of my hearts are abstract, some are connected to fairy angels, you may see them here.

===================================================

Here is a sketch of a big eyed gothic maiden.  She has hearts on her face in celebration of Valentine's Day.  I think she is most likely an angel fairy, although she could also be a goddess or a mermaid.  I'm unsure if I'll paint her or not, but I did enjoy sketching her.

I've decided to try and do a sketch a day in February.  This is day 14.

This is a rough sketch.  I am also participating in the February 29 Faces Challenge, this is face 14.

Sketch of a Big Eye Steampunk Fairy Angel, July 4, Art Sketches Daily + Happy 4th Fourth of July!

Here is a sketch of a big eyed gothic steampunk maiden.  I think she looks a bit pleased.  I'm not sure if I have any 4th Fourth of July themed art, so I gave her some red, white, and blue stars so that she may spread my wishes for a safe and happy holiday!  I think she is most likely a fairy angel, although she could also be a mermaid or a goddess.  I'm unsure if I'll paint her or not, but I did enjoy sketching her.

My Photograph Cherry Blossoms Flowers at Schabarum Park + March Sketches Art, Day 9, Steampunk Wing...

I took this photograph of these cherry blossom flowers at Schabarum Park last year.  It was at the very end of their blooming season.  I am hopeful of seeing them again there this year, they were so lovely.  I hope that you will enjoy this photo!

I love to paint flowers, you may see some of my finished paintings at www.lisarusso.com if you'd like.

Here is a sketch of a potential wing for one of my big eyed gothic maidens.  I want it to have a steampunk feel with a mixture of organic and metal elements.  I like this, but I'm not sure if this is quite it though, I may need to play around with it more.  I've only sketched one of the wings as when I'm happy with it, I'll be able to flip it in photoshop and play around with it there as well.  In some cases my technique involves using a combination of tools, traditional and digital, to do what I hope is my strongest art...

29 Faces in February, Face 12 Big Eye Gothic Steampunk Fairy Angel Sketch Art...

Here is a sketch of a big eyed gothic steampunk maiden.  She has a gentle hint of a smile, her lovely locks have curls, and she's wearing a sweet hat...  I think she is most likely an angel fairy, although she could also be a mermaid or a goddess.  One of the things I'm working on this challenge is hairstyles and adornments...   I'm unsure if I'll paint her or not, but I did enjoy sketching her.

She is face 12 for 29 faces in February.  The goal is to share 29 faces in the month of February.

Art Sketch of a Big Eye Steampunk Angel Fairy...

Here is a sketch of a big eye maiden.  I think I'd like to paint a steampunk angel fairy at some point in the future, but at this point I'm still doing sketches to try and determine what direction I'd like to go in...  I think she is most likely an angel fairy, although she could also be a mermaid (with a safe above ground cove to keep her hat safe) or a goddess.  I'm unsure if I'll paint her or not, but I did enjoy sketching her.

This is a rough sketch.  You may see some of my finished paintings at http://www.lisarusso.com if you'd like.
