I love unicorns!  This is an older piece with an abstract expressionist feel.  There is also a companion piece with a similar feel on my website.  I have a couple of ideas for new unicorn paintings, but at this point they are only ideas.  I hope to do some work on them but I have other projects at the front of the queue.  They're definitely in my project wishlist though!  I hope the closing of Junicorn treats you well...

I didn't get a chance to feature my unicorns on my first Tuesday of the month ebay listings, but I will try to do so in July with some of my dragons thrown in for good measure as well!

This week my featured painting is "Earthen". She is part of a series I did loosely inspired by Ted DeGrazia's art.  She has her hands at prayer and her wings outstretched behind her.  Unlike most of my paintings of angel fairies, the focus is not her eyes but has more of an expressionist feel.  This abstract original angel fairy painting is available for purchase on my website as are art prints and LE ACEO prints!  If you'd like to see more of the series, I have most of them on my website in the fantasy section grouped together at the end, some of the originals are sold, some are still available.

Here is a sketch of a butterfly.  Butterflies have such a wonderful elegance, I love to watch them fly... I'm unsure if I'll paint it or not, but I did enjoy sketching it.

29 Faces in February, Face 8 Big Eye Mermaid + Gothic Heart Original Painting...

Here is a sketch of a big eyed gothic maiden.  I think she has a quality of soft mystery in her eyes...  I think she is most likely a mermaid, although she could also be a fairy angel or a goddess.   I'm unsure if I'll paint her or not, but I did enjoy sketching her.  

She is face 8 for 29 faces in February.  The goal is to share 29 faces in the month of February.

Here is a sketch of a big eyed gothic maiden.  She has an intensity to her and an antler crown with a heart accent...  I think she is most likely a fairy angel, although she could also be a mermaid or a goddess.   I'm unsure if I'll paint her or not, but I did enjoy sketching her.

LACMA Show Fashioning Fashion II & Original Blue Angel Painting For Nibblefest...

I painted this little abstract expressionist angel for Nibblefest, she's on ebay here.  I've named her simply "Blue Angel."  She is my first original ACEO painting.  Due to the small size (2.5"x3.5"), I chose to paint her as simply as possible, I think she has a certain serenity.  Nibblefest auctions start at 99c, no reserve!

My newest mermaid painting is temporarily out of reach.  I know I packed her from the show and I know she made it home, but where she is exactly at this moment I am unsure...  Organization is not my strongest suite.  I'm sure she'll turn up at some point though...
