Angel Fairy Big Eye Art Original Painting Work in Progress WIP + Alien Femme Art Website Update...

Here is a work in progress view of my 11"x14" original gothic angel fairy painting.  So, I'm still working on her neck...  I was trying for a very pale cool hue for her, but it wasn't working for me, so I'm now going back to a warmer hue.  I will be moving forward to her face soon, and then possibly some glazing for shadows.  I still want her to be pale, but not quite as cool.  I haven't made much progress on her this week as I'm changing directions, but I will hopefully finish her sometime this year!  Well, I can hope anyway...  I very much believe that each painting takes as long as it needs, and this painting certainly has its own timescale...

"pievrefemme" is a one of my fantasy paintings.  It was inspired by the alien themed show at the Chateau L'amour gallery.  She has big octopus inspired eyes and tentacles.  It was a fun piece to paint that's a bit different from my usual big eye gothic femmes...  This piece is available as an original, as prints, and Limited Edition ACEOs!

I am listing "pieuvrefemme," an original painting of a big eye alien.  She has octopus inspired eyes and tentacles.  She has an intense quality and a lowbrow surreal feel...

I also have additional giclee art and ACEO prints here this week from Tuesday to Tuesday with a theme of blue women; some are fairy angel lasses and some are mermaids.  Only one is an alien as she is the first I've ever painted...

Most of my art is also available on my website at http://www.lisarusso.com; however, I like to offer some art on ebay at a lower promotional start rate for the duration of the auctions...  I have started at updating and adding payment buttons to my website.  It's a very slow project, but one I am working on.

Here is a rough sketch that I did of a big eye angel fairy.  I'm not sure if I'll paint her or not, but I did enjoy sketching her.  She is face 3 for the 29 faces challenge in February.  For 29 Faces, the challenge is to share 29 faces in the month of February.

Here is a rough sketch that I did of a big eye female.  I'm not really sure if she's an alien or a cyborg or an angel fairy, I just know that when I decided to sketch her, I wanted to do something fun with her hair...  I'm not sure if I'll use her for anything else, but I enjoyed sketching her.

This is my second drawing of this angel fairy, I think I'm much closer in this sketch to where I want to be with her before I start the painting.  Her neck is a bit more slender and her hair has a bit more movement.  I still need to make some adjustments, but I'm close to starting on this painting.

Octopus Femme Alien Original Painting in the AREA 51 Show...

This painting is being included in the AREA 51: Aliens, UFO's, The Cosmos And Beyond; ARTS & MUSIC FESTIVAL tomorrow!  This is my first time painting anything like this, she has a look of intensity, perhaps she is part of a fierce warrior race.  She measure 11"x14" unframed and 14"x17" framed.  This octopus alien is titled "pieuvrefemme" as inspired by Lorraine of Out of Sight L's comment about the French word for octopus.  She has octopus inspired eyes and tentacles.

The show will run a month.  The show details are here and I will be at the opening this Saturday!

I am listing "Underwater Prayer," an original gothic big eye mermaid by an undersea sunken cathedral.  She has big blue eyes and streaks of light purple lilac in her almost black short deep purple hair.  This is one of my rare images with short hair...

I also have additional giclee art and ACEO prints here this week from Tuesday to Tuesday with a theme of mermaids unseen the last time I shared mermaids...

Alien Octopus Femme Tentacles Big Eye Original Painting Work in Progress...

Here is a work in progress view of my 11"x14" original big eye alien octopus femme painting.  Here I'm a bit further along on the tentacles as well as her neck and shoulders.  This is very different from anything I've tried to paint before and it's a lot of fun.  In the future at some point I'd like paint a solo octopus as well as a mermaid with an octopus...

Here is a work in progress view of my 11"x14" original big eye alien octopus femme painting.  I've done a few layers on the background and started with the tentacles.  I made a bit of a mistake and had to paint over some of what I had already done, so I'm a bit behind my schedule for myself, but I think she's coming along...

For some reason my reading list with all of the blogs I follow has vanished...  It's very strange.  If it doesn't appear in a few days, I'll try to find them and follow them again.  I'm baffled as to why this occurred...
