Dogs give us so much, and this original painting, titled "Hóngsè de gǒu," was donated to help pets in need. My love for animals is why they are a regular subject in my art, and it feels extra special to celebrate them today.

I am listing "La Perrita Roja," an original painting of a fluffy red chow chow dog with golden accents.  She is staring upwards so sweetly.  The art has a realist impressionist feel...  

I also have additional giclee art and ACEO prints here this week from Tuesday to Tuesday with a theme of cats and dogs.

Here is a sketch of a big eyed maiden.  I think this gothic femme has a shy yet curious nature.  I think she is most likely a fairy angel, although she could also be a mermaid or goddess.   I enjoyed sketching her and I am leaning towards possibly painting her.   

She is face 8 for 29 faces in September.  The goal is to share 29 faces in the month of September.  

Chow Chow Dog Art Original Painting Work in Progress WIP + 29 Faces, Big Eye Face 4...

Here is where I am on my original 8"x10" chow chow dog painting.  I have been working on her fur in this work in progress.  Due to how quicky acrylics dry, I work wet into wet, section by section.  As I continue on this wip, I'll add some subtle details later, this is the blocking in stage.  I love animals and I find them a joy to paint...

I'm taking a little bit of a break from my gothic angel fairy painting to work on this original 8"x10" chow chow dog painting.  The background is painted and I have started work on her features.  Next I will begin her fur.  I love animals and I find them a joy to paint...

"Looking In" is one of my gothic mermaid paintings.  She is painted directly on to a porthole frame.  She has big brown eyes and long flowing dark brown hair.  Due to the round format of the original, I did digital variations to fit the 8"x10" print format and LE ACEO format which you may see on my website.  The art has a lowbrow surreal feel.  This piece is available as an original, as prints, and Limited Edition ACEOs!

Chow Chow Dog Sketch Art...

Here is a rough sketch of a chow chow dog.  Actually, I think this may be a chow chow dog mix, I'm not entirely sure.  I'm in the process of starting a dog painting, this is one of my initial sketches.  This dog is so sweet with her fluffy fur!
