I am listing "Clever Monkey," an original monkey painting. This big golden snub nosed monkey has a blue face surrounded by warm golden fur and a thoughtful expression. I painted him in honor of Chinese New Year. The art has a soft realist impressionist feel... I am also listing my original ram sheep painting here.
I also have additional giclee art and ACEO prints here this week from Tuesday to Tuesday with a theme of animals of the zodiac, I have additional horses and rabbits on my website, but I have chosen these for this week's auctions...
Most of my art is also available on my website at www.lisarusso.com; however, I like to put some art on ebay at a lower promotional start rate for the duration of the auctions... I have been updating my website. It's an ongoing project, but there is now an excellent selection of art available!
After the auction, "Gentle Ram" will be available at full price on my website here; I will also be adding "Clever Monkey" to my website at some point after the auction ends.
Here is a sketch of a big eyed gothic maiden. Her skin is ever so pale and freckles dance across her face. I think she is most likely an mermaid, although she could also be a fairy angel or goddess. I'm unsure if I'll paint her or not, but I did enjoy sketching her.
She is face 2 for 29 faces in February! The goal is to share 29 faces in the month of February.

Thanks so very, very much! "Clever Monkey" was so much joy to paint! I don't think I've put the freckles on a maiden before, I usually leave them out, but she seemed to want them...
