I took this photograph of "Portrait of Madame de Cromot de Fougy" by Antoine Vestier at the Norton Simon Museum of Art, it is one of my favorites. Its soft beauty is very compelling and inspiring to me.

Here is a work in progress view of my large 16"x20" original big eye Athena Greek goddess (known to the Romans as Minerva) with her little owl painting. I've blocked in her hair, I still probably have a day or so worth of painting on her hair before I move on to her owl...
