I am listing "Twilight Angel," an original painting of an angel fairy with huge blue eyes and light blue hair.  I've listed her fairly recently, but I wanted to offer her at the promo start rate again before I put her on my website at full price.  The art has a lowbrow surreal feel...

Here is a sketch of a big eye gothic maiden.  I think she had a fairy tale feeling of perhaps Belle of Beauty and the Beast, although she could be a mermaid or an angel or a fairy or perhaps even a goddess.  It's been a while since I've worked on a fairytale inspired femme.  I'm not sure if I'll paint her or not, but I did enjoy sketching her.

An Original Painting of a Gothic Deco Mermaid, a Self Portrait Art Print, and more Prints!

My featured print auction for the week is on ebay here.  It is titled "Drowning" and is a self portrait.  I also have additional giclee art prints here.

They're all based on my original paintings with a theme of blue and purple hair and are starting today and ending next Tuesday.  In addition to the self portrait, there are fairies, mermaids, and angels.

My Nibblefest isn't done yet, but in keeping with my theme for the week, she will have blue or purple hair.  I hope to list my cyber fairy angel on Thursday.  I have a bit of a fascination, Alex would say obsession, with blue and purple hair.  I wanted to dye my own hair blue, but in order for the color to keep for a little while, I'd have to bleach it and my hair does not respond well to bleach.  So, alas, I must live vicariously through my creations...

My Newest Fairy Painting and Summer Musings...

This painting is titled "Azure Haired Beauty."  The painting is an original acrylic gothic fairy painting on 5"x7" canvas panel.  I love the color blue.  Sometimes I want to paint the world blue, but this week I've settled for painting this big eye fae almost all blue. 

I painted this to participate in Nibblefest, this month the theme is fairies so I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's creations!  I love fairies.  Mine is here, all of the entries start at 99c, no reserve... 

I've started on the sketch for my next big floral, it will be a Bird of Paradise.  I haven't made much progress on it yet.  Summer months tend to be my least productive time.  It's just so hot, all I want to do is nap...  And on a technical level, while I love that acrylics dry quickly, in the summer they dry so very quickly, any blending must be done so very quickly...  Does anyone else have seasonal variations?  I'm trying to fight it at least a little this summer, but it goes against my inclinations!
