WIP Gothic Big Eye Wednesday Addams Art Original Painting Work in Progress + August Sketches, Sketch 8, Sleepy Kitten...

In this original acrylic work in progress WIP big eye gothic maiden painting I'm now happy with the clouds in the sky part of the background.  I still need to paint the lawn and the toombstones before I move on to the girl.  I think I have an idea of where I'm heading now though... 

This big eye gothic beauty is inspired by Wednesday Addams of the Addams Family and she is set in a Gothic cemetery.  This is an 11"x14" painting on gallery wrapped canvas.

Here is a sketch of a sleepy kitten.  I think cats are so adorable and this one looks so sweet.  I'm unsure if I'll paint her or not, but I did enjoy sketching her.

I've decided to try and do a sketch a day in August.  This is day 8.

Here is a sketch of a reclining cat.  He seems so stretched out and relaxed and yet very alert.  I probably won't paint him because I don't really understand what's going on with his paws, in my reference there's a lot of light in that area and not a lot of form, but I did enjoy sketching him.

I've decided to try and do a sketch a day in March.  This is day 20.

I am listing "All Creatures Great and Small," an original angel fairy painting.  This big eye gothic beauty has green eyes that match the eyes of the black cat she is holding protectively in her arms.  The art has an surreal lowbrow fantasy feel...  

I also have additional giclee art and ACEO prints here this week from Tuesday to Tuesday with a theme of Winter and Christmas.  In addition to another original angel, I also have prints of my cardinal bird and a poinsettia flower!

Here is a sketch of a gothic big eye maiden with a deeply thoughtful expression. I think I'd like to make her a fairy or angel; but it's also possible she may be an mermaid or possibly a goddess.  I'm not sure if I'll paint her or not, but I did enjoy sketching her...

"Make Time to Cuddle" is of a Balinese Siamese kitten.  The cat has large blue eyes and a surreal lowbrow feel...  I sold the original, but I do have this available as prints and LE ACEOs!

I took this photograph of B when visiting the amazing Art by Christopharo.  She and her story were my inspiration for my painting "All Creatures Great and Small."  She is definitely an art cat, as you can see by her location under the easel; and loves to spend her time as close to Christopharo as possible!  I hope you will enjoy this photo.

Work in Progress Dragon & a Hesitant Fairy Kitten...

Here is a work in progress view of an 8"x10" dragon painting.  I've finished with the sky.  I did some touch ups on some of the wet in wet that I'd done as well as doing a few layers on the sections under the wings that I'd forgotten...  I've also started his rock, I'm planning on adding some texture to it and then I can start on the dragon actual.  I'm considering "Dragonsrock" as a title.

Kitten Cat Kitty Sketch...

I sketched this kitten a while ago, unfortunately I've mislaid my reference so I won't be taking her any further unless I find it.  I'm trying to be more organized, but it's a major project!  I thought she fit in with my cute and cuddly theme for my auctions this week, click here if you'd like to see some of my finished pieces of cats and more that are up for auction until Tuesday...

An Original Painting of Two Horses Grazing, a Kitty Cat Art Print, and more Prints!

My featured print auction for the week is on ebay here.  It is titled "Waiting for You" and is of a brown and tan cat.  I also have additional art prints here.

They're all based on my original paintings with a theme of four legged friends and are starting today and ending next Tuesday.  There are cats, horses, a dog, a fawn, and a bunny rabbit.

Most of my art is also available on my website at http://www.lisarusso.com; however, I like to offer some art on ebay at a lower promotional start rate for the duration of the auctions...  The prints have a start price that's approximately 20% off and the original art has a start price that's approximately 25% off!

I'm listing this original painting here and the print of it is here.  The title is "Together" and it is of two horses grazing together.

Still not quite done with a project that is my priority right now.  I want to do Nibblefest this month, the theme is Sci-Fi and Aliens, but I'm not sure if I'll have time.  I don't really have a definite idea yet, just some vague ideas floating about, so we'll see...
